Tariffs
How do you rank EV tariffs?
Tariffs are ranked by estimated cost at your usage, never by commission. Best match is the lowest estimated annual car charging cost.
Does the estimate include the rest of my home?
No. The headline covers car charging only. Household use and standing charges are excluded. Compare the supplier terms for the full household bill.
Why do you ask for my postcode?
Electricity rates can vary by region. We compare Great Britain tariffs; Northern Ireland is not covered at the moment.
Do I need a smart meter?
Many EV tariffs need a smart meter. Check the eligibility and car or charger compatibility shown for each tariff, then confirm with the supplier.
Chargers
What is the difference between charger-only and fitted prices?
Charger-only is the product price. Fitted-from includes the stated standard installation. Extra work may cost more, so ask the installer for a written quote.
Can I compare home chargers side by side?
You can select up to three chargers. Both product and fitted-from prices are shown with the specifications.
Will any charger work with a smart tariff?
Not always. Managed tariffs can require a compatible car or charger. Check the current supplier requirements before buying.
Installers
How many installers receive a matched request?
A matched request can be offered to up to 3 installers at once. If an offer is declined or expires, it may be offered to a further matching installer without asking you again. Contact details are shared when an installer accepts. A direct request goes only to the installer you choose.
What does an EVTC verified rating mean?
EVTC reviews relate to a genuine installer interaction with appropriate evidence. Sample listings are not evidence of completed work.
How are lead credits and credit packs priced?
Lead value bands and credit pack tiers are shown below. Credits are charged when a lead is accepted. Declining or passing a lead doesn't use any credits.
Does Featured placement affect matching?
Featured placement is disclosed in the directory. It does not change lead routing or tariff rankings.
How much does Featured cost?
£149 a month or £1,499 a year
Lead value bands
S1-S4 are standard. C1-C3 are complex. 1 credit = £1.

Grants
How do I check whether I qualify for a grant?
Start with our grants checker and then confirm the current official scheme guidance. Eligibility depends on your property, parking and circumstances.
Does a grant-eligible badge guarantee an award?
No. A product badge is not approval of your application. Grant work may require an OZEV-approved installer and other conditions.
About EVTC
Does payment affect tariff order?
Tariff results are ranked by estimated cost at your usage. Payment never changes the order of tariff results.
How is the site funded?
Potential supplier affiliate commissions and installer lead credits help fund the service. See How we make money for the disclosure.
